Was what I needed. A standard cable doesn’t reach no matter what brand it was from. My mountain bike was inner shift cable inside the frame and when I routed the wires it was too shoet. The standard cable would leave me with like less than an inch in a half to grip to tighten. I took it to a bike shop and they were just as confused but only to not able tune the gears properly as the wire wasn’t long enough. I didn’t know that longer shift cables existed. After removing the standard length and use the 3000mm instead I had a ton of wire to play with at least a whole foot to play with. Once I also installed it the rear derailleur just needed a tiny slight touch and then all the gears were working correctly after that.
