Summary: I had the original version of this from the 1990's, it had an aluminum middle, and blue plastic over the hex arms; same 4,5,6mm size. Observations: This one is larger that that version. You do get more grip, which I find very useful since I use this on my motorcycle more than on bicycles. Pros: Good fit & finish. Cons: I wonder how the hex arms are held together under the plastic cover. Conclusion: At $12, I'm rating this one 5-stars. If the plastic middle is a weak point, I'm sure I'll discover it, and will be back to update this review accordingly.

I find the the ball end ones can strip out shallow socket screws when you're applying a lot of torque. These still give you some flexibility on insertion angle and are convenient
