WALD
Wald bicycle baskets, racks, and fenders provide simple solutions to a complex global problem and can help you make the world a better place. Installing a bicycle basket allows you to bring home gallons of milk instead of burning through tanks of gas and drums of oil.
Wald strives to make products the majority of cyclists can use on their bicycles and become more functional at the same time. The biggest challenge we face in this effort is the lack of a universal standard. Bikes from various manufacturers may look the same, but the moment you pull out a tape measure it quickly becomes apparent that all bicycles are not created equal. While we believe our products can be installed by almost anyone, we recommend you have your local bike shop install your product at the time of purchase.

Be an Integral Part of Our Legacy
Bicycle baskets were not the first product Wald invented. Rather, it was a bicycle tire repair tool. But it didn’t take long for Grandpa Ewald and Uncle Herman to recognize what a difference the bicycle basket could be.
Nobody quite remembers exactly when or why, but one day Grandpa Ewald and Uncle Herman decided it was time to move on. The little shop Wald Cycle Company grew up in served the brothers well. The people of Sheboygan, Wisconsin loved their two-wheeled citizens, but Grandpa and Uncle Herman needed something new. A new product idea was always welcome, but this itch needed a bigger scratch. They had greater aspirations for their business.

Product Description
We know you love the 133, 3133, and 157 baskets. But what happens when you want to haul something that isn't overly large, but can really weigh you down? We thought you'd probably bust out a welding torch and tack a couple of legs on the 133 basket. So that's exactly what we did. The 135 is the exact same size as our popular 133 and 3133 baskets with shorter handlebar mounts and legs bolted to the bottom of the basket. Perfect for a couple of two liters, or a six-pack with some chips and salsa to go. Give us some Fat Tire Ale, Mission Restaurant Style Tortilla Triangles and Frog Ranch salsa any day!

- Reviewed in the United States on May 24, 2012I love this basket! It was so easy to install too and I'm completely tool illiterate and I figured it out and did it really quickly with no trouble. It's sturdy and so convenient. I even put my dog in it and ride her around. It's really cute. It holds quite a bit of weight and looks really good on my bike. The attachments are sturdy and I feel really secure about putting things in it. I highly recommend this basket over one without the extra support bars. It's the perfect size for a paper grocery bag or something similar. Just be aware that putting smaller objects like a cell phone in it with nothing else... well, these things have a tendency to "pop" out of the basket if you hit a bump so be sure your stuff is secure! I bought little velcro straps from Lowes and if I'm carrying small stuff in it, I will put the velco straps across the top of the basket to ensure nothing pops out of it, or just put something heavier on top of it. It works great though and was exactly what I was looking/hoping for. I'm very pleased. I have it on my Schwinn mountain bike and there's still plenty of room for a light to be attached and all that good stuff.
- Reviewed in the United States on May 24, 2015Quite happy with this basket - perfect for groceries! Mounted easily and securely to my Electra Amsterdam, adding good look and functionality. Made of quality wire, designed for strength and balance. Base of basket is 7"x12", with 9" sides deep tapering to a top opening of 9.25"x14.25". Practical sizing for real groceries (see photos). Fits reusable grocery sack well. More than large enough for a 6-pack of bottles, and firmly fits a 12-pack bottle box in with an inch or so above basket top. Could easily make solid bottom or sides with a variety of materials to handle smaller items. I sewed a fabric basket liner with about half a yard of fabric, and added flower garland for fun. Adds joy and carrying capacity to my trips around town!

- Reviewed in the United States on February 17, 2013I read the reviews before purchasing this basket. The only complaint that I really found, of significance, was that the support braces were too short. I have a 24" bicycle because I'm not very tall so the 26" bike was not an option for me. My husband put the basket on my bike and it did not have to be modified in any way. He is an engineer and was impressed with the quality of the basket and the ease of installation. I love that it's deep and will hold a grocery bag without difficulty. The basket is very sturdy and can hold some weight. I will be riding my bicycle to work in the Spring and Summer and have some heavy items to transport back and forth. I am extremely pleased and highly recommend this basket.
- Reviewed in the United States on August 22, 2019It assembled very easily, and seems pretty sturdy. This unit is designed for front forks that are rigid; if you have shock absorbers, go elsewhere. It can mount on the axle if you have standard axles (not easy-remove types). If you have the easily removed axles you have to use the small holes and find some 4-mm bolts.
I am a bit disappointed with the ruggedness of the basket itself. I think it should be made of a heavier grade of wire, or have more wires in the basket. A little abuse in the bike rack by others already have caused some bending.
But I would buy it again.
- Reviewed in the United States on August 18, 2016This is a well-designed and attractive front bicycle basket. It is not overly large but adequate for carrying small bags of groceries, a bookbag, etc. without noticeably interfering with front steering. It has excellent stability thanks to easy-to-attach rim post supports in addition to two secure handlebar supports. It fits well on an adult size (700cc hybrid) bicycle. Assembly time was just a few minutes. If you're in the market for a front basket for your bicycle, get this one!
- Reviewed in the United States on October 23, 2009The basket fits perfectly on my bike, my only complaint is the nature of front baskets, which make the front of the bike heavy. Other than that I fully enjoy it. It fits a lot of things, it sturdy and was easy to assemble.
- Reviewed in the United States on April 5, 2010I bought this for my wife's bicycle. It is a Schwin. The basket fit up fine without needing any modification. It really looks nice. We checked and a grocery sack will slip right down inside of it.
It is made well and came in good time. By the time I paid shipping I could have bought one at a local bicycle shop. However they did not have any in stock and I needed to make an order to Amazon for another item.
- Reviewed in the United States on February 4, 2012very good front basket for the price , nice finish against oxidation , it fits a big groceries bag or 2 gallons of water , or a small dog , easy to install , but according to bike brand , clamps could be little bit too short or too long , beside that I give a 4 star
