PRS-25 Repair Stand

Park Tool PRS-25 Team Issue Bicycle Repair Stand

The Park Tool PRS-25 was designed from the ground up to create what we believe is the finest folding bicycle repair stand available. Lightweight at just 13 lbs. (6kg), the PRS-25 is constructed with proprietary Hexatude hex-shaped aluminum tubing which ensures low flex and no rotation during use. Clamp height is adjustable from 47" to 60" (119cm-152cm), and the clamp rotates 360 degrees, putting any bike in the perfect position for any repair. The stand features aluminum leg straps for added stability and to ensure quick and easy folding and unfolding of the stand for transportation and storage. The PRS-25 features the 100-25D Micro-Adjust Clamp, with a cam-actuated adjustment system for quick entry, adjustment and exit. The 100-25D features narrow (2.7"/7cm) clamping jaws to fit into tight areas or on short seat posts, and clamps nearly any tube from 7/8" to 3" (23–76mm), including aero tubes and dropper posts.

NOTE: The maximum weight holding capacity of the PRS-25 is 100 lbs. (45kg). This assumes the weight is centered over the legs.

This stand is sturdy enough for heavy ebikes.

This stand is sturdy enough for heavy ebikes.
This is my first repair stand, so take my impressions with that in mind. Before ordering, I was very concerned with the stability and sturdiness of the stand I would eventually order. My eMTB weighs 55 lbs with the battery installed, and I wanted to be able to work on my bike, including the ability to run the driveline as needed. I’m really happy to say that this stand allows me to do exactly that. I desperately needed to do a derailleur tune up on my bike, and this stand made that process a snap. I’ve literally been futzing with the derailleur for a couple of weeks trying to get it dialed in without a stand. Now I’m kicking myself for wasting so much time without one. In the first two hours of having the stand, I’ve felt inspired to do all sorts of maintenance in my bike. I’ve adjusted the brakes (I just *knew* that brake brake was dragging), re-torqued some hardware, and dropped the wheels for a good cleaning. Having a stand is a game changer. I actually *enjoy* servicing my bike now. Just to be 100% certain of its stability, I locked up my bike in the clamp, raised the stand, and — with a helper standing by to assist catching any tumbles — tried to upset the stand. Honestly, I couldn’t. The main upright has some flex, but it doesn’t feel like it’s anywhere near it’s limit. It just flexes a bit. You would have to push your stand over for it to fall. You’d literally hurt yourself if you bumped into it hard enough to knock it over. So overall, I’m very happy, and I plan to buy some accessories (tool tray!) to make working on the stand even better.

This is my 2nd Park Tool Stand—My first one is about 30 years old and still works beautifully during daily use. I’ve kept it clean and not much else but it’s still flawless in operation. I started thinking about getting a new work stand a year ago when I shopped for one as a gift. I saw that the new stands were much lighter, folded up to be quite portable, and had adjustable heights for work comfort. I bought a very nice Feedback Sports product with lots of features and a great price. The recipient was, and still is, delighted with that stand.
I was already a Park Tool fan and when I spotted the PRS-25, I got really interested in upgrading my home shop. I compared it to the Feedback Sports Pro Elite being sold at an attractive price with a bag included. The Pro Elite folds up very nicely and sets up quickly. It’s a few ounces lighter and a few inches shorter than the Park when folded. The clamp folds down for storage while the Park screws out easily and has a nifty storage solution. The Park clamp really is a thing of beauty with micro adjustments and quality. It’s also a little smaller and that often comes in handy when working on bikes.
I watched videos of the two stands in action and noticed a lot of sway on the Feedback Pro Elite. The Park looked (and is) rock solid. Finally, I worried about the tripod feet on the Pro Elite and imagined I would be tripping over them regularly. The Park supports are low to the ground and not an issue at all. The only minor negative I see on the Park is this: We’re warned to leave 12” of the extension tube in the upright tube for strength, but there are no markings on the extension tube to show when that limit is reached. I’ll have to mark it myself. The Park PRS-25 and optional carrying bag cost me about $65 more than the Pro Elite. That’s a hit but if it lasts as long as my first one, the cost won’t matter a bit. I think both brands are excellent and you probably can’t go wrong with either, but for me, the Park was a pretty easy choice.

I bought this to replace my 10 yr old Feedback Sports aluminum stand and it's testimony to "you get what you pay for." It's much more expensive, but it is so much sturdier and the clamp works so much better that I have no second thoughts. It is bike-shop-quality and portable at the same time.

This is a very solid bike stand. It's easy to use with the quick release and turn handles. It's very lightweight and compacts for storage into a very small footprint. I like that it's aluminum rather than steel so I don't have to worry about rust if I wash the bikes in the stand. I've typically done the maintenance standing the bikes against the garage door (carbon fiber bike) or with the kick stand down (steel). This will make it so much easier to have the bike at the appropriate height and any angle I need it to be at. I read the reviews on less expensive stands but decided to spend the money to get something that I wasn't going to regret getting later and I always believed that buying quality tools saves you time and energy in the long run.

I am a novice at bicycle repairs and have not used other stands. I had problems with repairs performed poorly by bike shops, so purchased this stand along with some tools to hopefully ensure that my bicycles were maintained and repaired properly. I have used the stand to replace the bottom bracket, pedals, and crankset across two bicycles. The stand has supported the bicycles easily and securely (20 lb. carbon frame road bike and 25 lb. steel frame touring bike) even while I applied significant torque on these components and rotated the bicycles to most easily reach the various parts. It is easy to position the stand and rotate the bicycle to make repairs.

The stand is light, and very easy to set up for use, and later fold back into its storage configuration. The clamp that holds your bicycle can easily be moved between its storage and use configurations. When collapsed, the stand fits easily in a corner or against a wall.

Overall, I am very satisfied with this stand.

I have an old Park Tool bike repair stand and when my son's birthday was coming up, I ordered him the PRS-25 Park bike repair stand and was amazed how much better it is than my old repair stand. Folds easily to take along to bike events. I bought him the tray and bag as well.

I liked nearly everything about this rack and I remain pleased to have ordered it. The one star reduction I have given it is for the less than desirable material used inside the clamping jaws. Using a moderate amount of force on the clamping lever seemed to be not enough to keep the bike from slightly slipping in the clamp. Using more force then made the clamp more difficult to close. The material used is either a hard a rubber or may even be a plastic material. I use a piece of that rubber "no slide" type shelf material on the bike frame or seat post where the clamp is to be placed before the clamp is used. The problem was absolutely solved which proves My point. This remains to be a great rack! It's a very nicely built of great material and is very sturdy on the stand and floor. There in is another testament to the saying, "You usually get what You pay for!" This rack is absolutely worth the money spent. I liked it from the very beginning as soon as I opened the box. I also really like how thew stand easily folds up and It's very light.

Hat also super geklappt!
