Elegant design. If for many reasons you need the basket to be removed quick and easy anytime from the bike or scooter - this is it. It's a good but some truth to comments because I think everything is black plastic and the pieces look to hardly fit together as they must. Yet it's only four main bracket parts to make it work and no tools required. My opinion, try it and get over the first feeling that makes you think its not going to work as you put it on the bike or scooter. It works, the bracket once installed forward or backward tells you if you need to flip it, no big deal to flip it. So, dont over think like I and others did while installing it. The bracket with grab ring/clips can be taken apart and reversed. So once it's on - it still may feel loose. it tightens itself with load on the basket each time its used and can loosen without load if you take off the basket - not a problem, it tightens when the basket is put back on. So once you slide the basket onto the bracket, you will know you put it on the right side or wrong side. The basket is either facing you thus blocking your space to sit (bad) or facing the front of the bike or scooter (good). Either way, the big block should be on the other side of the handle bar and the black molded strap will be facing you on your seat side when its right. So once it's on correctly, it will feel loose and funny, not right... Odd yes but it works with the basket attached. The elegance is the engineering to let gravity and weight work and it will engage itself like a slip knot. The weight of the basket once slid on the block shaped outside bracket triggers the clips to tighten automatically and release without the basket. We bought it for my wife's knee walker scooter so while she heals with a broken ankle she can carry her purse or various items and get around. When we return the scooter rental, I am going to put this on my city/mountain bike for the rare times I wish I had a basket - now I will and can remove it just as easy.
