Basket rotates without additional support
The basket is well made, and the quick release works well. However, the basket rotates on the two handlebar attachments, and without support tilts down. I was able to correct this using an old support bracket for a light and by shaping some wood to fit into it. Now the basket is prevented from tilting as it hits the wood. The manufacturer really should add a lower support.

    I'm not sure what the other reviewer was talking about, because nowhere in the instruction it said I had to remove my display. I just had to unscrew 2 screws from the mount, clapped the mount in place (my handle bar is the largest diameter possible, so I didn't need to use any extra padding rings), and screwed them back. The basket snaps in place securely, and can carry about 10lbs easily. I love this basket and am glad the staff at my local bike shop suggested me to get this from Amazon.

    I have purchased several Topeak products for bicycling, including the MTX-DXP and the MTX fold down box w/wheels, their all-in-one tool kit and love and use all of them! However, everyone with an ebike who has reviewed this product, says the same thing; Take your digital display off your electric bike, put the basket on. The end. I didn't heed their warning, this does NOT fit an Aventon Level electric bike with a center stem attachment for their digital display. The attachment for the ebike's digital display is wider than the attachment bracket for this basket. They should stop advertising it as an ebike basket. If the basket fits 'some' ebikes, they should provide a list of bikes that it fits and also, better instructions. I love Topeak products and I will always check their brand first for any of my bicycling needs, however, I believe they could do so much better with their descriptions, for instance; when I bought the MXT-DX first thinking it had the fold down saddle bags because that's what was shown in the video, however, the fold down saddlebags would be only on the MTX-DXP...very confusing, as is their info on the front basket.

    This basket with it's special mount is marketed specifically for e-bikes. The first step in the installation instructions is to remove the factory display from the bike, then install the basket. You need to remove the factory display, because the basket uses that space for it's mount, leaving no place (in my application) to re-install the display. And, for what it's worth, there is no mention of reinstalling the factory display in the instructions! I called tech help, and tried a number of different ways to get both to coexist, but was unable. I returned the basket.
