Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.

- Reviewed in the United States on June 2, 2025Style: 16oz (473 mL) bottle - BicycleVerified PurchaseThis product literally saved my day. 100 mile ride, rainy and cold, I was praying to not get a flat, as it would have been a pain to patch or change my tube in those conditions. Once I got home, I noticed a staple going into the tire. When I pulled it out, the Slime leaked a bit and immediately sealed the leak. See picture. Not sure when the puncture happened, but I probably rode dozens of miles with that stable stabbed into my tire and tube and it still held the pressure to the point that I finished the ride without noticing anything.

- Reviewed in the United States on December 28, 2024Style: 16oz (473 Ml) Bottle - Dirt BikeVerified PurchaseI’ve been using the Slime 10004 Dirt Bike Tube Puncture Repair Sealant on my KTM EXC 450 with the Tubliss System, and I have to say, this product has exceeded my expectations! Whether I’m riding on the street or tackling the roughest single track, including challenging river crossings, this sealant has kept my tires sealed to the rims and provided peace of mind.
Reliability and Performance:
The real test for any sealant is how well it holds up during extreme conditions, and Slime performs flawlessly. On both pavement and technical off-road trails, I’ve never had issues with losing air pressure. Even after hitting sharp rocks and navigating through muddy, rocky river crossings, my tires have remained perfectly sealed, and I haven’t had to worry about flats.
Tubliss System Compatibility:
Using this with the Tubliss System on my KTM EXC 450 has been a game-changer. It complements the Tubliss setup perfectly, keeping both the high-pressure and low-pressure sides properly inflated. The sealant flows into the inner tube, filling small punctures almost instantly, preventing air loss during those long, rough rides.
Ease of Use:
Adding the Slime sealant to the tires was simple, and the product works quickly to seal any small punctures or leaks. The bottle is easy to handle, and you don’t need any special equipment to get it into the tire. I’ve had to use it a few times during my rides for minor punctures, and the results are always quick and reliable.
Overall:
If you ride a dirt bike, especially one with the Tubliss System, the Slime 10004 Dirt Bike Tube Puncture Repair Sealant is a must-have. It provides excellent protection against flats, keeps your tires sealed under tough conditions, and saves you from the hassle of constantly checking air pressure or dealing with tire issues. I highly recommend it for anyone who rides in rough, unpredictable conditions. It’s definitely earned its place in my gear bag!
- Reviewed in the United States on June 28, 2024Style: 16oz (473 Ml) Bottle - Dirt BikeVerified PurchaseI decided to try this out after getting some annoying flats on my RadRunner (of course always on the rear tire, and the rear tire is majorly annoying to remove due to electric wiring). However, I used it first on my regular Specialized bike with 700x38C tires. I got a pretty normal small puncture flat without the slime, so I experimented by filling around 4-5 oz into the tube after the puncture. I did note that it seemed very "liquidy" and not very slimy in the bottle, but after shaking it a few times, it seemed to become more "gooey". Due to the green coloring of the slime staining the bottle, it's a bit difficult to know how much you put in as you can't really see the line too well. I think I only put in maybe 3 oz on the first try and after spreading around the slime in the tube and inflating it, there was still a leak. I put in maybe another 2 oz, spread it around again, and inflated it again, and it appeared the leak was sealed up. I then squeezed the rest of the bottle (around 10-11oz) into the rear tube on my ebike.
The tube with the slime-sealed puncture seemed to hold air very well and did not seem to lose air any faster than normal. A few days later, I got another puncture on that same tube, but it deflated during the ride. After pumping it back to recommended pressure a few minutes later, it did seem to reseal itself. My suggestion is to keep a spare pump or CO2 cartridges on hand, because I don't think the slime seals up instantly.
In terms of cycling, I did not notice any need for increased effort due to weight or drag of the slime on the tube.
However, please note that I only used the slime on rear tires (as I only ride on roadways and literally have had only one front flat in over 15 years of active riding).
In conclusion, shake bottle before using, use a gram scale to figure out how much you put in the tube, and carry a portable pump because the sealing action appears to be delayed. I will update if I have any new findings.
